As of January 1, 2026, Capital Rx will administer the prescription drug coverage. Capital Rx is a nation-wide Pharmacy Benefit Manager, changing the way prescriptions are managed by bringing greater transparency to drug pricing, allowing you to see the actual cost of your medications at specific pharmacies. You have flexibility in how you fill prescriptions, including using their mail-order service through Costco.
There are no changes to your prescription drug copays or coinsurance for 2026. You will have access to the same coverage you do today.
When you go to the Capital Rx portal, you’ll have easy access to find pharmacies, receive medication cost estimates, find prescription savings, book appointments, and have a clear view of your benefits.
To review all of your 2026 benefits, read the 2026 Benefits Guide. You can see What's Changing for 2026 here.

Maintenance Choice is a feature of your prescription drug plan that allows you to fill medications you take on a regular basis – for chronic conditions such as, high blood pressure, diabetes, and asthma. These medications must be filled in a 90-day supply at a CVS Pharmacy or through CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy™. Either way, the cost is the same.
Note: If you fill in a 30-day supply for maintenance medications, or at any other pharmacy, your medications won’t be covered, and you’ll have to pay the entire cost. Learn more about Maintenance Choice.
Aetna pharmacy members have access to the GoodRx “Caremark Cost Saver” program which helps to lower out-of-pocket drug costs. This program allows you to access GoodRx’s prescription pricing, when available, on generic medications at the pharmacy counter. Cost Saver, powered by GoodRx, benefits include:
To use Cost Saver, present your member ID card when you pick up your prescriptions. GoodRx will automatically apply the lowest available discount price.
If you have more than three eligible prescriptions (30-day medications taken on a regular basis for an ongoing medical condition, excluding controlled substances), ScriptSync™ coordinates your refills to be picked up from your pharmacy once a month at no additional cost. Click here to learn more.
Do you take multiple prescriptions? At no additional cost, CVS will presort and package your medications into small, easy-to-open packets in an efficient dispenser box through their SimpleDose™ service.
