Sometimes you need time away from work to take care of important personal needs, such as recovering from an illness or injury, caring for a sick family member, or welcoming a new baby into your family.
Note: Several states offer paid leave benefits related to family leave and disability leave. Colleagues working in states that offer a paid leave benefit must contact both The Hartford and their state for claims and funds processing. Some states cover the full amount of eligible leave payments, and some states cover a portion of eligible leave payments. Sysco Leave of Absence-related benefits (e.g., STD, pregnancy leave, parental leave, etc.) run concurrently with state-paid with state-paid benefits and are payable as an offset to colleagues receiving astate paid benefit.

They’ll answer your questions and tell you which types of leave you may be eligible for, including federal, state, and Sysco leave benefits.
Sysco supports birth mothers take the time they need to rest and recover after childbirth. Sysco provides all birth mothers with six (6) weeks of leave with full pay after the birth of their child. Pregnancy leaves are concurrent with Short-term Disability, as well as FMLA leave.
Sysco offers paid parental leave to eligible colleagues who are birth parents or became parents through adoption or surrogacy. Eligibility includes colleagues who are primary or secondary caregivers to the child.
