Yes. As part of our move to Aetna as one carrier, Aetna will administer the diabetes prevention and management programs.

Aetna’s Transform Diabetes Care program provides the right amount of guidance and support based on your needs and preferences.

Here’s what the program offers:

  • Blood sugar monitoring
  • Pharmacists and nurses looking out for you
  • Prescription refill reminders
  • Preventive health screenings
  • Healthy lifestyle plans
  • Nutrition plans for your likes and needs
  • And the CVS Health Tracker app

If you’re managing diabetes, you’re enrolled automatically, so stay tuned for program details—you’ll receive information in 2022 about the program.

If you are currently working with Omada or Virta, those programs will end their affiliation with Sysco on December 31, 2021. However, you can continue to work with the programs by paying a fee directly to the program administrator. If you are currently enrolled in one of these programs, you’ll receive a letter in December that will detail how you can continue to work with the program and pay the program fee. If you choose to stop working with Virta and Omada, remember that Aetna offers the Transform Diabetes program to those enrolled in a Sysco-sponsored national medical plans in 2022.

Yes. You will continue to have access to the musculoskeletal condition resources and the program will not change for 2022. However, Physera, the program administrator, is now owned by Omada, so you will see a change to the carrier name and contact information in 2022. This will be updated on SyscoBenefits.com at the start of the new year.

No. The cancer support resources, administered by AccessHope, will remain the same for 2022.

The 2018 Wellness Rewards Program window ended on November 1, 2017. If you and your spouse completed the requirements by November 1, 2017, and earned your Wellness Reward for 2018, your reward will be deposited in your healthcare expense account in January 2018! Don’t be concerned if your Wellness Reward amount is not displayed in the enrollment system on the Total Rewards Café in 2017. Your 2018 Wellness Reward amount will not appear in the system until January 2018.

Please note: If you and your spouse completed the requirements early — by October 1, 2017 — and did not choose to receive your reward a different way during 2018 Benefits Enrollment, you will receive your reward as a credit to the medical plan premium taken from your paycheck each pay period in 2018.
